Phyllis P. O'Grady Confer, 79, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Friday January 10, 2014 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Mary C. (Coch) O'Grady.

Phyllis attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1953. For over 30 years she worked as a cook in various restaurants in Niagara Falls. Phyllis was a member of the Golden Agers in Niagara Falls and in her leisure enjoyed sewing and knitting. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Phyllis is survived by her children Patricia A. (Steven) Davis of Niagara Falls, NY, Robert M. Confer, Jr. of Arcade, NY, Teresa M. (Mark) Austin of Ransomville, NY, Mary E. (Dick) Weymouth of Caledonia, NY and Deborah A. (Alan) Guzak of Sanborn, NY; nine grandchildren, Daniel, David, Jennifer, Melissa (James) Jones, Caitlyn, Bridget, Deanna (Matt) Wilson, Michael, and Anthony; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary C. O'Grady of Reno, NV, and Kathleen (Robert) Calabrese of Florida; one brother, Martin (late Rose) O'Grady of Vacaville, CA, and many nieces and nephews. Phyllis was predeceased by her brother, John (Irene of Vacaville, CA) O'Grady, and her former husband, Robert M. Confer, Sr.
