Phyllis Pavlisin, 75, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at her residence. Born in Opp, AL, she was the daughter of the late Bascom Alsabrook and Oleeta (Wals) Miller; and step-daughter of the late Harry Miller. Phyllis came to Niagara Falls as an infant with her family and graduated from Trott Vocational High School with her nursing degree.
On February 2, 1969, she married her beloved husband, Robert Pavlisin, at the LaSalle Baptist Church. Phyllis worked as a nurse for many years, retiring on November 11, 2011. She dedicated her career to various facilities, including Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital, Northgate Health Care Facility, and the former St. Mary's Nursing Home. Phyllis was an excellent cook and loved spending time with her family who will miss her dearly.
In addition to her husband of 55 years, Phyllis is survived by three children, Robert Pavlisin Jr., Shannon Pavlisin and Sharon (Nicolas) Desso; her grandchildren, Alessandra Pavlisin, Karissa (Adam) Pavlisin, Amber Pavlisin, Devin Desso, David Desso, Dylan Desso, Salvatore DiGregorio, Ricky DiGregorio, Meadow DiGregorio and Sarah Desso; her great-grandchildren, Layden Ravarini and Alannah Omiatek, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She was sadly predeceased by her daughter Robin Pangrac and two sisters, Elizabeth Alsabrook and Augusta Marrell.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 16 from 2 – 4 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, followed by funeral services at 4 PM.
