Placida "Pat" J. Mardon of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Saturday May 21, 2011 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY.

Pat was born on September 10, 1923 in Niagara Falls, NY and was the daughter of the late Ferdinando and Regina (Nanea) Breda. She attended local schools and graduated from Trott Vocational High School and the former Doyle's Beauty School in Buffalo. She worked at her family business, Venetzia Restaurant, and then at Lincoln's Department Store, both in Niagara Falls, NY. She also worked as a beautician at Sal's Beauty Salon, and later operated her own beauty shop at her home for many years. She was a devoted mother who enjoyed cooking and was an excellent seamstress.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce (David L.) Serianni; a son Delroy LaForge; a sister Ida (late Frank) Manente; a cousin Alda (late Albert) Critelli; a sister-in-law Lorraine (late Harold) Jones and several nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by her husband Walter Mardon; a brother-in-law John (late Jean) Mardon; and a sister-in-law Genevieve (late Owen) Muir.

Visitation will be held Wednesday May 25th from 10AM – 11:30AM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY RD NIAGARA FALLS, NY Where a Memorial Service will follow at 11:30AM.
