Ralph N. Cusatis, 56 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday October 26, 2015 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Ralph Cusatis and Theresa (Lundy) Wendel, and step-son of Howard Wendel of Niagara Falls, NY.
Ralph was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools. He served in the United States Army National Guard as a sergeant with the 152nd Engineering Battalion. On January 15, 1991, he married Claire R. (Printup) Cusatis in the former Wintergarden in Niagara Falls. Ralph worked as a machinist at the former Cascades Inc. and afterwards Electro-Dyn Inc. Ralph was an avid wrestler and involved in the Niagara Falls Wrestling Club. He also enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, camping, bicycling, gardening, puzzles and watching classic movies and television shows. Ralph was devoted to his Catholic faith and was proud of upholding tradition. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving husband, brother and uncle, who especially loved his cat Moses.
In addition to his wife and step-father, Ralph is survived by his son Nicholas Ralph Cusatis of Pennsylvania, his brothers and sisters, Theresa Cusatis, Edward Cusatis, Leslie (Gerald) Thomason all of Niagara Falls, NY, Howard Wendel of Lancaster, NY and was predeceased by a brother Angelo (Yvonne of Niagara Falls, NY) Cusatis. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Roxanne (Donny) McCoy, Rosalie Cusatis, Andrea (Roger) Lively, Angelo (Katie) Cusatis, Rhiannon Kephart, Joseph Kephart, Jason Thomason, Travis Mountain, Deanna Cusatis, Jared Davis and Faith Wendel as well as several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by one niece Victoria Cusatis.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will be held on Friday October 30th at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Niagara County SPCA 2100 Lockport Road Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
