Ralph J. Genovese, 74, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, NY, after a lengthy illness. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Louis S. and Angela M. (Leone) Genovese.
Ralph was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. He graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1958 and later earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Dayton in 1962. He owned and operated Ralph J. Genovese, CPA in Niagara Falls, NY until his death, where he served many local businesses for over 50 years. He was a long time member of the Niagara Frontier Country Club in Youngstown, NY, and served on their Board of Directors. He also enjoyed spending time with his good friends as a member of the Wednesday Italian Gourmet Club. Ralph was an avid golfer and sports fan who particularly liked the New York Yankees and the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Above all, Ralph had a profound love for his family, especially his grandchildren.
Ralph is survived by his sons Louis A. (Liberty) Genovese, Ralph J. II (Terri) Genovese both of Grand Island, NY and Gregg J. (Brittany) Genovese of Rochester, NY; six grandchildren Louis, Mya, Joseph, Gianna, Nicolas and Capri Genovese; his sister Rosemary (Robert) Castellani of Grand Island, NY; his brother Joseph A. (Patricia) Genovese of Boston, MA, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Mary Lou (Warren of Niagara Falls, NY) Davidson.
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 20th from 2 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 21st at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane R. Klizek officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
