Ramona Gazy, 79, of Niagara Falls, passed away suddenly on February 15, 2020.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Louis J. and Sadie (Donato) Espina.

Ramona attended local schools, graduating from Niagara Falls High School and later from Niagara County Community College.  On June 15, 1968, she married Albert J. Gazy in Niagara Falls.  Ramona was employed as an elementary school teaching assistant for Niagara Falls City School District, working at 60 ^th Street School until her retirement in 2006.

Ramona loved decorating, creating arts and crafts and cooking.  In addition, she enjoyed watching movies, singing, dancing, listening to music and traveling.  Above all, she will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished the time spent with her family.

In addition to her husband of 51 years, Ramona is survived by her children, Louis J. (Joanne) DalPorto and Monique (Keith) Gazy-Crossley; her grandchildren, Danielle DalPorto, Samantha DalPorto and Elise Gazy, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her sister, Adela (late Charles) Espina-Huff, and her infant brother, Louis Espina.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20 from 3 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304 where funeral services will begin on Friday at 9:15 AM followed by Ramona's Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.  Interment to be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at the convenience of the family.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of WNY, 6215 Sheridan Drive Suite #100, Buffalo, NY 14221.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
