Regetta "Kiki" (Penale) Bane was called peacefully to her heavenly home on Friday, May 13, 2011 in Millard Fillmore Gates Hospital, Buffalo, NY. Kiki was born in Niagara Falls, NY on May 10, 1927 to the late Ralph and Francesca (Gallo) Penale. She was united in marriage to Frederick H. Bane on April 14, 1951, Frederick predeceased her on May 5, 2000.

Their marriage was blessed with two children, Patricia (Walter) Wrobel of Town of Niagara, NY and Kathleen (Douglas) Lapp of Wheatfield, NY. Blessings continued with three grandchildren , Jennifer (Adam) Ventress, Kristen (Anthony) Casero, and Michael Lapp; two great grandchildren, Avery Bea Casero and Jaxon Wayne Ventress. She is survived by her brother Dominic (Angeline) Penale of Niagara Falls, NY and sisters-in- law Jennie Penale and Kathryn Newton; brothers in- law Joseph, Paul and Raymond Bane. She is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews. Kiki shared almost 80 years of friendship with her two dearest friends, Mafalda (Mickey) Pietrangeli and Alda Critelli. She was the sister of the late Anthony, Laurence, Frank, Theresa, Josephine and Jenne Penale.

Kiki graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1945 and was employed at Moore Business Forms and Niagara County Social Services for many years. She is a member of St. John de Lasalle Roman Catholic Church, Niagara Falls, NY.

Kiki lived life for her family, faith, and friends. As a Mother, Mother-in-law and Grandmother, no one was prouder than Kiki. For her three grandchildren, they have been blessed to have a "Gram" that has given them love, devotion, compassion, generosity, and guidance. Kiki's daughters and families have had one constant in their lives and that was her!
An exceptional gift of caring for others was Kiki's greatest legacy. Kiki's caring ways were a comfort to so many in times of need or just daily telephone calls saying "how are you" or call me when you get home so I know you're okay. In addition to her love of her family, she also loved the New York Yankees.
A great part of her life was her love and devotion to the Lord and the Blessed Mother Kiki's daily life was driven by her strong faith.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 3 – 8PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY RD NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Kiki's life will be held Monday May 16th at 10:00AM in St. John de Lasalle Roman Catholic Church 8469 Buffalo Ave. Niagara Falls, NY with the Rev. Slawomir Siok, SAC officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
