Rena was born December 23, 1953 in Buffalo, NY. She passed away surrounded by her loving family from the effects of cancer on October 14, 2019 at Newfane Rehab Center.  Rena attended Madonna High School and NCCC. She was a landscape artist, and waitress, most notably at Georgian House and Sandis. Rena loved her customers and always had a hug and a smile for them. She was a talented artist, frequently raffling a painting at the restaurant.

Her greatest love was for her children and grandchildren who will carry her Irish spirit forever. She is survived by her loving and devoted partner of 14 years, Bill Hamm and their 3 dogs; her four children, Jay (Cori) Mattice, Timmon (Michelle) Mattice, her twins Frank and Vittoria D'Angelo. She is also survived by her sister Alane (Bob) Donahue and 9 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Mary Riester and brother Kevin.
