Rex Jerome McCafferty, 70, of Toronto, Ontario, passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2025, in Lewiston, New York. He was the son of the late Jerome "Hank" and Jean (Berry) McCafferty.

A distinguished legal mind and devoted public servant, Rex earned his Bachelor's degree from Queen's University, earned an MBA from Western University in London, Ontario, before completing his LLB in 2004 at University of Liverpool and his LLM from Nottingham University in 2006. He began his legal career at Wolfson Law Professional Corporation, where he served with integrity and dedication for several years. Rex later founded McCafferty Law Professional Corporation, which provided legal services across Ontario and the Cayman Islands for the past 12 years.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Rex was deeply committed to global engagement and civic responsibility. He served for many years on the Board of Directors for the United Nations Association of Canada, where his insight and leadership were widely respected.

Rex will be remembered for his sharp intellect, unwavering principles, and the quiet generosity.  He dreamed big, lived large, and will be greatly missed by his close circle of friends.
