Richard A. Briganti, 51, of Gloucester, MA and Lewiston, NY, passed away on April 7, 2022 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Richard Briand and Judy (nee Tuttle) (Anthony) Colucci.
Richard attended Niagara County Community College and Johnson and Wales University for Culinary Arts. He was employed as the Cheese Department Manager with Trader Joe's in Peabody, MA, and was the Food and Beverage Manager for the Algonquin Club in Boston, MA. Richard loved cooking, walking his dog, going to the beach and enjoyed art. He cherished the time spent with his nieces and nephews, and especially movie night with his nieces. He will be remembered for his fun and loving nature.
In addition to his mother and step-father, Richard is survived by his companion, Michael DeLucia; his sisters, Tina (James) Wedge and Christine Colucci-Munoz; his half-sisters, Mary Briand and Susan Briand; his uncle and aunt, Stephen and Roseanne Zafuto; his nieces and nephews, Angelina Colucci, Pascual Munoz, Isabella Munoz, Nevaeh Colucci, Hannah Wedge, and Nicholas Wedge, as well as by several cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 10 from 12 – 4 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin at 4 PM. Visitation will continue Monday from 10 – 11 AM at the Funeral Chapel, followed by an 11 AM Prayer Service. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
