Richard F. Casale, 81, of Youngstown, NY passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018, under the care of Niagara Hospice House.  Born in Bronx, New York City, he was the son of the late Louis and Teresa (Olivo) Casale.

Richard attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.  Mr. Casale proudly served six years with Air National Guard and the Reserve of the US Air Force and was honorably discharged on April 23, 1966.  He worked as a switchman for New York Telephone for thirty-seven years and retired in 1994.  On September 26, 1992 he married the former Carol Congi and they recently celebrated 25 years of marriage.

Richard was a handyman and an excellent woodworker.  He enjoyed traveling with his wife to Florida during the winter months and summers on the lake at their Youngstown home.  He was an avid fan of listening to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin but above all, Richard enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and daughter.

In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his children, Elizabeth Casale and Richard L. Casale; step daughter, Tina (Mark) Belter; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Frank Casale and several nieces and nephews. Richard is also survived by the mother of his children, Florence Casale.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, December 27 ^th from 2 – 6 P.M. at M.J.
