Richard D. DeLoreto, 53, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday November 5, 2012 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of Kathleen M. (O'Donnell) DeLoreto of Niagara Falls, NY and the late Daniel P. DeLoreto, Sr.
Richard was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. He served in the United States Army from January 21, 1976 until his honorable discharge on February 1, 1979. Richard was employed at Niagara Generation in Niagara Falls, NY.
Richard was a passionate fan of the Indianapolis Colts football team. He was extremely handy, and able to repair a variety of items. He also enjoyed working around his home as well as helping others with their projects. Richard also had a love for animals, especially cats.
In addition to his mother, Richard is survived by two daughters, Danielle Semple of Niagara Falls, NY and Amanda DeLoreto of California, his brothers and sisters, Daniel P. (Marsha) DeLoreto of Columbia, TN; Barbara (Frank) Kulbago of Wheatfield, NY; Thomas DeLoreto of Niagara Falls, NY; Nina (Lloyd) Wood of Corning, NY and Annette (Patrick) O'Connell of Amherst, NY and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother Steven DeLoreto.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 7 – 9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Friday November 9th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Vincent DePaul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Andrew Lauricella officiating. Interment at the convenience of the family will be in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Memorial offerings may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Parish, 1055 North Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
