Richard E. "Dick" Pealer, 90 of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital.  Born in Dallas Township, PA, he was the son of the late Elias B. and Anna (Hughes) Pealer.

Dick attended U.S. Naval School in Boston, MA.  He served honorably in the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer from 1948 until his honorable discharge in 1958.  He was employed in Airport Management and Administration, working as an Air Traffic Controller and Airport Manager for the Federal Aviation Administration at Groton-New London Airport in Connecticut and Genesee County Airport in Batavia, NY, retiring in 1995.  In 1992, he married Lorraine (Conti) Pealer.

Dick was a licensed pilot, airplane owner and aviation enthusiast, and a member of the Q.B. Society.   He was also a founding member of the Niagara Aerospace Museum.  Dick loved classic cars, especially his 1917 Model T, and was an avid boating enthusiast.  Dick was a member of the Lions Club and was a Boy Scout Leader.  In addition, he was a coach for the Special Olympics Swim Team.

In addition to his wife of 28 years, Mr. Pealer is survived by his children, Jay (Sharon) Pealer and Lisa (Michael) Kinstler; his step children, Dawn (James) Marasco, Craig Mokhiber and Fr. Justin 'Todd' Mokhiber and four grandchildren.  Richard was predeceased by his son William Pealer, step children Mitchell B. Mokhiber, Kevin J. Mokhiber and his twin brother Keith Mokhiber, as well as by eleven siblings.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 9 - 11 AM at St. George's Orthodox Church, 1073 Saunders Settlement Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14305, where funeral services will begin at 11 AM.  Services can be livestreamed on the St. George's Website, www.stgeorgenf.org .  Private interment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls NY with Military Honors.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's memory may be made to St. George Orthodox Church.  Arrangements by M.J.
