Obituary

Richard A. “Dick” Tracy, of North Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 17, 2026, at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Born in North Tonawanda, NY, he was the son of the late Gordon and Myrtle (Licht) Tracy.

Dick was a graduate of Trott Vocational School. He proudly served in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic, working primarily on the Thunderchief aircraft during the Vietnam War from 1963 until his honorable discharge in 1967. On January 10, 1970, he married the love of his life, Donna M. (Cox) Tracy, in Hamburg, NY.

Dick was employed as a Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service for 41 years, retiring in 2004. He was a proud member of the VFW. Dick enjoyed golfing—once scoring a hole‑in‑one at Hyde Park Golf Course—fishing, hunting, and spending time in nature. He was an avid Buffalo Sabres fan. Above all, he was the best father and “Poppy” his daughters, grandchildren, and great‑grandchildren could ever ask for, giving them the world and showering them with love.

In addition to his wife of 56 years, Richard is survived by his daughters, Tina Vigrass and Kari Tracy; his grandchildren, Tawny (Marco II) Arnone and Trent A. Luzier; his great‑grandchildren, Trinity, Luciano, and Sianna; his brothers, Raymond (Kathy) Tracy and Gordon (late Rachel) Tracy; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by four siblings.

There will be no prior visitation or funeral services. Arrangements by M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel. Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
