Richard F. Genova, 64, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY entered into rest on Saturday, September 22, 2012. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Frank and Ann Genova.

Growing up on Girard Avenue in Niagara Falls, Richard attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. While living in Niagara Falls, he worked at Frontier Bronze for several years, before moving to Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 1970 where he owned a chemical lawn spraying company and for the last ten years, a pool cleaning company. Possessing a lifelong passion for music, Richard often performed with bands and attended concerts on Ft. Lauderdale Beach.

Richard is survived by a son, Quincy, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a sister, Barbara Freedman of Lewiston, NY; a nephew Michael (Justina) Freedman; a great-niece Angelina Grace of Town of Niagara, NY; his lifelong friend Joseph (Robin) Farago of Niagara Falls, NY, and many cousins. He will be sadly missed, and will be remembered for his dedicated work effort.

Relatives and friends are welcome to assemble beginning at 10:30 AM on Monday October 8th at St. Peter's Church, 620 Center St., Lewiston, NY where the celebration of a Memorial Mass will follow starting at 11 AM.
