Richard J. Gentilucci, 63, of Pendleton, NY passed away Sunday February 7, 2010 at his residence while under the care of his loving family and Niagara Hospice. He was the son of the late Agostino and Mary (Bengivengo) Gentilucci.

Richard was born and educated in Paterson, NJ, graduated from Notre Dame University with a degree in chemical engineering, and moved to the Niagara Falls area in the late 1970's. On April 27, 1985 he married Michele A. (Paonessa) Gentilucci at St. James Methodist Church in Niagara Falls, NY. As a chemical engineer, Mr. Gentilucci served in a progression of technical, managerial and consulting roles at E.I. DuPont Co. sites in New Jersey, Tennessee, Texas, and New York. He retired as site engineering manager for the DuPont plant in Tonawanda, NY on August 31, 2009 after forty-two years of service. Richard was an avid tennis player and was a fan of Notre Dame Football and basketball. His greatest pleasure came from spending time with his immediate and extended family, especially his grandchildren and his dogs.

In addition to his wife of twenty-four years, he is survived by two sons Gregory (Laura) Gentilucci of Centennial, CO, Geoffrey (Dohee Kim) Gentilucci of Manchester, CT, three grandchildren Alex, Calla, Jacob; two brothers Joseph (Annette) Gentilucci of Aiken, SC, Ted (Maryann) Gentilucci of Murrells Inlet, SC; sister Jay (Tony) Sisti of Little Falls, NJ and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. Richard was the son-in-law of John J. (Mickey) Paonessa of Niagara Falls, NY. He was predeceased by his brother August "Augie" (late Elaine) Gentilucci.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday February 12th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Christopher's R.C. Church, 2660 Niagara Falls Blvd. Tonawanda, NY. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH.
