Richard W. Michel, 61, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on February 20, 2019 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY.  Born in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Clarence and Bernice (Hammond) Michel.

Richard was employed as a host at Denny's Restaurant in Lockport, NY.  He was also affiliated with Guild Care on Military Road in Niagara Falls.  Richard enjoyed assembling model airplanes and sports cars.  In addition, he was a skilled handyman who enjoyed working outdoors.

Richard is survived by his children, Jan and Kerry, his siblings, Ken Michel, Bob Michel, Joyce Michel, dear friends Shirley Tolomeo and Kimberly Rauber, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his sisters, Ethel and Lorraine.
