Richard “Rick” P. Maynard, 68, of Manchester, NH, passed away on July 3, 2026 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Reading, MA, he was the son of the late Richard F. and Edith (O’Brien) Maynard.

Rick graduated from high school in Reading, MA. He later attended Southern New Hampshire University, where he earned three Bachelor’s Degrees and one Associate’s Degree, and went on to complete his Master’s Degree from Northeastern University. On July 19, 1986, he married Anya L. (Pellegrino) Maynard in Malden, MA.

Rick was employed as an Electrician with the IBEW #490 in Concord, NH, and was a Nuclear Certified Electrician. He was politically active in the New Hampshire Citizens for Progress and hosted his own podcast. Rick loved being outdoors—fishing, skiing, swimming, flying kites, and spending time on the Atlantic Ocean. An avid skier, he proudly tuned skis for the 1980 U.S. Olympic Team. He also studied natural medicine long before it became widely embraced. Above all, he cherished his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of nearly 40 years, Rick is survived by his daughters, Michele (Rev. Justin) Marple, Kristin (Kevin) Curtis and Alisha Marie Maynard and her fur babies, Stache and Cinnamon; and his beloved grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Grumpy,” Josiah, Arwen, Elizabeth, Collette, Lillian, Landon, Jackson, and Terra. He was predeceased by his daughter, Collette Maynard, and his grandson, Avian.
