Rita R. Sarro, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 12, 2021 at her residence. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Rachel (Guido) Benvenuti; and is predeceased by her loving and devoted husband, Joseph P. Sarro.

Rita was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. She was a devout Catholic and lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph's Church where she was extremely active. Rita enjoyed music, watching classic movies, cooking, and looking after her porch cat, Big Red. Above all, she cherished the times spent with her family, going out to live shows, the casino, and dinners with her sisters, nieces and nephews, and time with her children and granddaughters. Also, a special thanks to her attentive and caring neighbors Robin and Ralph.

Mrs. Sarro is survived by her children, Mark Sarro and Lisa Sarro-Morgan; three grandchildren, Augusta, Joey and Alexis Morgan; her siblings, Dina (late Thomas) Freidhof, Norma (late William) Haluska and Linda (David) Pavicich, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two siblings, Mary A. Benvenuti and Vincent (late Rose) Benvenuti; her step-mother, Anna Benvenuti; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Michael and Frances (Stupino) Sarro, and was also the sister-in-law to the late Raffaella Sarro, late Lucy (late Peter) Congi (late William) Domorat, late Philip (late Lillian) Sarro, late Mary (late Benedict) Gandolfi, and the late U.S. Army Private Vincent Sarro.
