Obituary
Rito R. Vetrone, 76, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Thursday March 31, 2011 in N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Born in Naples, Italy, he was the son of the late Paul and Mary (Nava) Vetrone.
Rito married Joan N. (Gabriele) Vetrone on September 30, 1961 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niagara Falls, NY. He started working in the barber trade in Canada and then owned and operated Rito's Barber Shop in Niagara Falls, NY for twenty years. Rito also was employed at the Carborundum Co. in Niagara Falls, was licensed in real estate sales and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #247. He participated with several area church choirs and sang for many weddings and funerals. Rito also played the organ and enjoyed cooking. But his greatest pleasure was his family who he centered his life around, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of forty nine years, Rito is survived by four daughters Karen (Wally) Kajdasz of Youngstown, NY; Jeannie (Lou) Paonessa, Michelle (Mark) Pirolli and Paula (Robert) Newbury all of Niagara Falls, NY; six grandchildren Amanda Paonessa, Matthew Paonessa, Robert Paul Newbury, Dominic Paonessa, Isabella Pirolli and Mark Pirolli, two sisters Carmelina (Rito) Rampado and Nicolette (John) Romanelli both of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 – 7 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday April 4th at 12:30 p.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane R. Klizek officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. The Knights of Columbus Council 247 will conduct services on Sunday at 5 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, 315 Alberta Drive, Suite 102, Amherst NY 14226 or to the National Kidney Foundation, 300 Delaware Avenue, Ste. 101, Buffalo NY 14202.
