Robert J. "Bob" LaDouceur,91, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away with his daughters and loved ones at his side, on Saturday, January 6, 2018.  Born on December 31, 1926 in Newton Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Antonio and Laura (LaCounte) LaDouceur.

Mr. LaDouceur moved to Niagara Falls in 1934 with his family.  He attended local schools and graduated from Trott Vocational High School in 1944 where he was a member of their basketball team from 1943-1944.  Bob as he was known by his family and friends served in WWII in the Pacific Theater as a Paratrooper with the 11 ^th Air Born Division. He married Edith C. (Cacciatori) LaDouceur in 1950, she passed away in 1992.  Bob worked for Occidental Chemical Co. for 41 years, 25 years as a technician at Grand Island Oxy Research Center and retired in 1992.

Bob was an original member of the Boy's Club Alumni Association.  He was also a member of American Legion LaSalle Post #1142 and St. Vincent De Paul Parish, Prince of Peace Church. He enjoyed all sports, hunting, fishing and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

Mr. LaDouceur's family would like to thank the staff of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center S2 and Niagara Hospice, especially Daisy and Sam for their compassionate care.

Bob is survived by his children: Roberta (Steve) Mojeski and Paulette LaDouceur; grandchildren; Kelly Klingman, Adam (Lara) Mojeski, Dana Iannillo and Janine (Fred) DeBaets; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Mr. LaDouceur was predeceased by a son, Robert A. LaDouceur; two brothers, Paul LaDouceur, Edmour (late Maria) LaDouceur and a sister, Kathleen (late John) Trapasso.

There will be no prior visitation. The family will receive friends and family at St. Vincent De Paul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY on Saturday, January 20 ^th at 10:00 AM.  Burial will be in Alphonsus Cemetery, Tupper Lake, NY at the convenience of the family.
