Robert A. "Bobby" Leighton, Sr., 74, of the Tuscarora Nation in Sanborn, NY, passed away unexpectedly on February 12, 2022, in Alabama. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late David Sr. and Natalie (Cutler) Leighton; and husband of the late Yvonne (Moses) Leighton, whom was a member of the Snipe Clan.

Bobby attended the former St. Teresa's School in Niagara Falls and graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School. He was employed as a machine operator at Harrison Radiator (Delphi) for over 35 years prior to his retirement. Following his retirement, he moved to Alabama.

Bobby was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, as well as spending time at his family's cottage on White Lake in Canada. He also loved bowling, watching sports, listening to music and traveling. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his beloved family and friends.

Mr. Leighton is survived by two children, Danielle (Daniel) McKean and Roy Moses; his grandchildren, Dillan McKean; his twin brother, David (Linda) Leighton; sister, Janice Massung; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his wife and parents, Robert was predeceased by three children, Robert Leighton, Jr., Angela Leighton, and Christina "Tina" Leighton; and his brother, Richard Cutler.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 25 at 12 Noon at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 500 Riverdale Avenue, Lewiston, NY 14092, with interment to follow. Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
