Robert Joseph Edwards, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Saturday January 29, 2011 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his family after a long illness with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 52. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of Harold and Phyllis (Nicoletti) Edwards of Niagara Falls, NY.

Bobby attended the former LaSalle Senior High School and graduated in 1977. He then moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he earned his certification as a butcher. He moved back to Niagara Falls area and worked for Scipione's and Tops Supermarkets as a butcher for ten years. Afterwards he worked for the City of Niagara Falls until becoming ill. In the early 1990's, he became ill with Multiple Sclerosis and from then until his passing, spent his remaining years with his family and friends who loved him dearly. Bobby was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family and friends. He always had a smile on his face and a great sense of humor throughout his illness. Bobby had the heart of a lion and will always be remembered for his courage and dedication to his family.

In addition to his parents, Robert is survived by his daughter Sara Edwards and son Ryan Edwards both of Niagara Falls, NY, one grandson Zayden Inizio Edwards, four brothers, Ron (Marcia) Edwards of Santa Maria, CA; Dan Edwards, Brian Edwards both of Niagara Falls, NY and John Edwards of Santa Barbara, CA; his sister-in-law Sheila Edwards of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON FUNERAL CHAPEL, 468 19TH STREET, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Entombment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY at the convenience of the family .
