Robert Earl Hands, 66, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 10th, 2017 at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Mobile, Alabama, he was the loving son of Shedric and Annie (Robinson) Hands.

Robert attended local schools in Alabama and moved to Niagara Falls, NY with his family in 1972. On September 3, 1977, he married his beloved wife, Rhonda (Dyess) Hands, at The Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Syracuse, NY. Mr. Hands owned and operated Hands and Remodeling Company for many years following his retirement.

Robert enjoyed remodeling and refinishing cars, and was a longtime member of the Antique Car Association. He was also an avid fan of Drag Racing. Above all, Mr. Hands especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife of 39 years, Mr. Hands is survived by his two daughters, Porsha (Dennis Hermonstyne) Hands and Alexis Hands; three grandchildren, Justin Robert Williams, Maya Rose Williams and Makayla Easton Hermonstyne; siblings, Beatrice (Cecil) Perkins, Juanita (Elisha) Banks, Catherine (Charles) Martin, George (Bernice) Tabb; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert is also survived by many loving friends including close family friends, Willie Williams and Willie Price. Mr. Hands was predeceased by one sister, Annie Jo McArthur.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 13th from 4 – 8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 A.M. in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY 14092. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Niagara Hospice House.
