Robert J. “Bob” Pennington, 72, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026, at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late John D. and Rose (Pierangelino) Pennington, and the beloved husband of Doraine (Mantell) Pennington.

Bob was a 1972 graduate of Niagara Falls High School where he was a standout wrestler. He proudly served in the United States Navy and earned the National Defense Service Medal. Bob went on to work for TAM Ceramics for many years, retiring as a welder. He also worked at the Como Restaurant for several years.

Bob enjoyed coaching Little League baseball during his son Rob’s childhood. He found joy in fishing with his best friend, Jim Tomasine, rooting for the Cleveland Browns, woodworking, cooking, and shopping for the best deals. He also loved playing cards with his friends and was the first to show up when someone needed a helping hand.

Above all, Bob adored his dogs, Penny and Milo, and especially cherished the time spent with his family. His grandchildren were the center of his world.

In addition to his wife, Doraine, Bob is survived by his children, Robert N. (Meghan) Pennington and Diana Pennington; his grandchildren, Nicholas Pennington, Lauren Pennington and Abby Kolpack; two step-children, Jamie Naus and Michael (Karen) Naus; as well as several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his brother John H. Pennington.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Niagara Hospice House and Roswell Park for their care and compassion.

Visitation will be Monday, July 6 from 3 – 8 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin Tuesday, July 7 at 9:30 AM, followed by Bob’s Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Leo’s Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.
