Robert LaBarbera, 75, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 9, 2024 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and late Susan (Gelose) LaBarbera.

Robert grew up in WNY, graduating from Bishop Gibbons High School in North Tonawanda, NY in 1966. He married the love of his life, Margaret Burns, on August 26, 1972 in St. Francis Church in Tonawanda, NY. He worked for the Knights of Columbus as an insurance salesman for 38 years, and also worked as an usher and tour guide for the Buffalo Bills, which he loved! Robert returned to college in his 70's to finish his Bachelor's Degree, which he received from Empire State College.

A very active man with a generous heart, Robert was involved with many organizations. He served in the National Guard in his younger years, and was very involved with Ring 44 Boxing. He was also very involved in his church at Prince of Peace, singing in the choir and serving as an Officer of the Catholic Men's Club. He was a former Grand Knight, former District Deputy, and former Color Core with the Knights of Columbus for many years. He also helped organize fundraisers for the Special Olympics.

Robert is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret LaBarbera; their two children, Brian LaBarbera and Tina (Joseph) Polito; grandchildren, Joseph Polito, Abigail Polito, and Gianna Baumet; siblings Carl (late Joannie) (Jeannie) LaBarbera and Elaine (late John) Gondek; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 13 from 3 – 8 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Robert's Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 14 at 9:30 AM in Prince of Peace Church, 1055 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.
