Robert Glenn Osborne, 84, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on October 24, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Brookville, PA, he was the son of the late Glenn L. and Gertrude (Swarm) Osborne.
Robert proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1963 until his honorable discharge in 1965. On June 24, 1994, he married Debra L. (Spencer) Osborne. Robert was employed for most of his life as a sign repairman with Peterson Signs in Jamestown, NY, until his retirement in 1990. He then moved to Florida in 2011 and was employed for 8 years as a trainer for Universal Studios in Orlando, FL before returning to the Niagara Falls area in 2021.
Robert was a member of the American Legion John J. Welch Post 381 as well as member of the Moose Lodge in Florida. He was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills, and also enjoyed spending time outdoors camping and fishing. Robert also enjoyed playing cards, shooting darts, playing pool and bowling. More than anything, he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. Robert will be remembered most for his friendly and welcoming demeanor, and for being a gentle man that got along with all those who he encountered.
