Robert A. Quarantillo, 89, of Niagara Falls, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Austin and Mary (O'Farrell) Quarantillo.
Bob, as he was known to everyone, attended local schools, graduating from Canisius College and the University of Buffalo. He served in the Air Force from 1945 until his honorable discharge in 1947. On July 16, 1949, he married Laura (Fernandez) Quarantillo at St. Joseph Church. They enjoyed 67 happy years together.

Bob was employed by various industries through the years including Bell Aircraft, several car dealerships and Neighborhood Housing. He often shared his time and expert skill at carpentry with family and friends. He enjoyed building his own home and helping with family renovations. In his leisure time, he enjoyed golfing and bowling.

Bob is survived by three children, Susan (Dr. Michael) Pell, Robert M. (Tracy Gillick) Quarantillo, and William A. (Paula) Quarantillo; five grandchildren, Robert A. (Laura) Quarantillo, James R. (Annie) Quarantillo, Kristen J. Quarantillo, Austin J. (Sarah) Quarantillo, and William D. Quarantillo; three great grandchildren, James Michael, Lucy Marie and Rose Kathleen Quarantillo; He was predeceased by one sister, Marilyn Starr. He is survived by brother in law, William Starr and Family.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Everyone is invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 22nd at 10:30 a.m. at St. John de LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery with Military Honors, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mount St. Mary's Hospital, 5300 Military Road, Lewiston, NY 14092 or to the Niagara Falls Boys and Girls Club, 725 17th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.
