Robert D. Spacone, 69, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at his residence with his wife by his side.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY on December 13, 1952, he was the son of the late Carl and Evelyn (Franciscutti) Spacone.

Robert attended Sacred Heart School, graduated from Bishop Duffy High School, and earned his Associate's Degree from Niagara County Community College.  He excelled in Basketball at Bishop Duffy and at NCCC, and was called the "GEL" that kept the team together by his coach, Dan Bazzani.  Robert also played baseball for the American Legion alongside pro Rick Manning.  Bobby was employed by the City of Niagara Falls Department of Public Works as Deputy Director, retiring after 32 years in 2018.

Bobby especially loved the game of golf and traveled to many courses to play.  He also enjoyed bowling and the Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees.  He also loved his 4-legged best friends, dogs Anabelle, Brea, Tayla, Bloom, Betty, Edgerrin and Peyton, and his beloved cat Smokey.  Bobby, affectionately known as "COBRA", was always there when someone was in need and was always willing to help others.  He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 12 years, Cathy Casero, his daughter, Michelle (James) Mortimer of Texas and his step-son, Nino Ramseyer, Jr.; his siblings, Andrew (Carla) Spacone of Rhode Island, Nadine (late Thomas) Wasson, and Mary Lou McEvoy; his nephews, Carl Paul Compton, John McEvoy, Mark McEvoy, and Godson Aaron Spacone; his nieces, Andrea DuMoulin, Lisa (Craig) Rivera, and Hannah Spacone; his aunt MaryJane (late Donald Sr.) Spacone, as well as many cousins both in the United States and Canada.
