Robert R. Stirling, 75 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Thursday March 25, 2010 in Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Robert and Margaret (Bertie) Stirling.

Bob as he was known to family and friends was educated in local Niagara Falls Schools and served in the United States Air Force from 1954 until his honorable discharge in 1958. In 1959, he moved to St. Catharines, Ontario where he resided until moving back to Niagara Falls, NY in 1979. Bob married Shirley (Mariano) Stirling on July 26, 1979. For thirty five years, he was employed as an iron worker with the Iron Workers Local # 9. Bob was a car enthusiast and member of the Free Wheelers Car Club. He also had a love for antiques, particularly antique toys and furniture, and was especially proud of his antique 1940 Lincoln Zephyr.

In addition to wife, he is survived by three children, Patti-Ann Abrahamse of St. Catharines, Ontario, Robert (Lauren) Stirling of Clarence, NY and Scott Stirling of Niagara Falls, NY, four grandchildren, Zachary and Jessica Stirling, Taylor Nash and Jennifer Molar, one great-grandchild Jasper Molar, his step-children, Jeffrey Perri of Santa Monica, CA, David (Diana) Perri of Grand Island, NY, Beth Perri of Rochester, NY, eight step-grandchildren, Selena, Jeff Perri, D.J., Danielle, Dominique, Devon Perri, Geremy and Geoffrey Stowe as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by Stephen (Margaret of Amherst, NY) Stirling and Norman (Rosemary of Knoxville, TN) Stirling.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI AND SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Sunday March 28th at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Hughson officiating.
