Robert 'Bob' Vickers, 61 of Wheatfield, NY passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday July 28, 2012 while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late William and Carol (Bonfiglio) Vickers.

Bob was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area. He attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1970. On September 8, 1989, he married Marina (Posa) Vickers in Niagara Falls, NY. In his early years, Bob worked at E.I. DuPont Co. and the Carborundum Co. plants in Niagara Falls. He later went on to become a carpenter with Local #280 in Niagara Falls until his retirement in 2001. Bob's greatest pleasures in life were his children, spending time with his family, and his love and devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ.

In addition t o his wife of twenty three years, he is survived by his children; Tracey (Marc) Homsi, Robert (Nicole) Vickers both of Wheatfield, NY, Keri (Randy) Mountain of Niagara Falls, NY, Robert Wolanske of the Town of Niagara, NY, Donna Robertson of Niagara Falls, NY and Steven (Heather) Wolanske of Wheatfield, NY, fourteen grandchildren, one brother John (karla) Vickers of Carlisle, KY, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by his first wife Pamela (McGillivray) Vickers.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 1st at 11:00 a.m. St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church 2437 Niagara Road Niagara Falls, NY. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Riverdale Cemetery Lewiston, NY. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094.
