Robert O. Walton, 81, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28, 2022, in OLP Rehabilitation and Nursing Residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Albert and Elizabeth "Louise" (McKinney) Walton; and the beloved husband of the late Elena R. (Scarfone) Walton, whom he married on June 24, 1974, at the Walnut Avenue Christian Church, where they also taught Sunday school together.

Robert was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. He enlisted in the United States Army serving his country as a decorated Sharpshooter until his honorable discharge in 1965.

Following his discharge, Robert returned home and began working at DuPont as a supervisor for many years prior to his retirement. He continued to stay active spending his time with the Board of Education as a monitor upon retiring.

Robert was a longtime member of the Moose Loyal Order Legion #62 and a proud blood donor. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed collecting model cards and loved the Buffalo Bills. He also especially enjoyed caring for his exotic fish and fresh water fish, both in his pond and indoor tank.

Mr. Walton is survived by his brother, Albert C. (late Brenda) Walton; his nieces and nephews, Darren (Renee) Walton, Doug (Lori) Walton, Bryan (Heather) Walton and Adrienne (Paul) Adams; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Noah, Regan, Maddison, Tyler, Quinn, Cole, Brenna, Nate, Gwen and Hugh; and many beloved cousins and friends. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Donald G. Walton.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 1 from 3 – 6 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will follow at 6 P.M.
