Roger W. Hillman, Sr., 87, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on January 13, 2023 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Edward and Hazel (Krohn) Hillman.

Roger was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School.  In 1951, he met his future wife, Eleanor M. (Colangelo) Hillman while they were both employed at NuWay (later Acme) Markets, and they were married on September 17, 1955.  Roger was employed with Acme Markets in Western NY for 28 years, working his way from Stockboy all the way up to Store Manager.  He later worked for General Nutrition Corporation in Buffalo for 10 years, and most recently, as Warehouse Keeper for the Niagara Falls Board of Education for 17 years prior to his retirement in 2005.  He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council #247.  Roger was an avid sports fan, and loved the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres.  He had great joy in watching his children and grandchildren play sports as well.

In addition to his devoted wife of 67 years, Roger is survived by his children, Lori (Mark) Mays, Roger (Rosanne) Hillman, Jr., Lynn (John) Argy, Ron Hillman, and Nancy (late Ed) Carlino; his grandchildren, Michelle (Bob) Grabowski, Amanda Mays, Sarah Hillman, Nick Argy, Kayla (Aaron Perkins) Hillman, Natalie Argy, and Gregory Carlino; great-grandchildren, Lucy Grabowski, and Hudson and Emerson Perkins; his siblings, Joyce (late Neil) Truesdell, and Joann (John) McIntyre, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his siblings, Richard (late Rose) Hillman, Patricia Hillman McKenzie, and Shirley (late Donald) Williams.

Roger's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 19 at 10 AM at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.  Private entombment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY, will be held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to a charity of one's choice.  Arrangements by M.J.
