Rona J. Malinowski, 73, of Fairfax, VA, and previously of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 6, 2020 with her daughters by her side. Born in Rochester, NY, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Reba (Bernstein) Starr; and the loving wife of the late Kenneth C. Malinowski, PhD, whom she married on July 2, 1972.

Rona was raised in Rochester, NY, where she attended local schools. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Buffalo State College, and was employed for several decades as a teacher for the Lewiston-Porter School District, where she originated the Multi-Age program. She was also a longtime member of the Zonta International.

Rona enjoyed skiing with her husband and family at Holimont, as well as traveling, playing cards and coffee with her friends. Above all, she loved being an "Ammy" (Grandma) to Carly, Griffin, Lucas and Gabby.

Rona is survived by her two children, Rachel (Curt) Nusbaum and Danielle (Joe) Magagnoli; her grandchildren, Carly and Griffin Nusbaum and Lucas and Gabby Magagnoli; one sister, Sharon (Larry) Cross, as well as her nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Rona's funeral services were held privately for her family with interment in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria, NY.
