Ronald A. Alvarez, 70 of the Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on March 17, 2017 at Sisters Hospital in Buffalo, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of Lillian (Craig) Alvarez and the late Alfred Alvarez.

Ron was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools.  On February 4, 1967, he married his high school sweetheart, Jeanette P. (Yannes) Alvarez, with whom he recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.  Ron was employed as an electrician for Union Carbide/Stratcor.  He was an avid New York Yankees fan, enjoyed motorcycles and boating, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his mother and his wife, Ron is survived by his children, Lorrie Alvarez, Michael A. (Lisa) Alvarez, and Kelly (Len) Freiermuth, four grandchildren, Jourdan, Skylar, Kyle, and Brystol, one brother, Gary Alvarez, one sister, Tina Naus, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Jeffery Alvarez and Ricky Alvarez.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 21 ^st from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 P.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY where funeral services will be held at 8 P.M., with Rev. Deacon Patrick J. Bradley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Sister's Hospital, 2157 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14214, or to a charity of one's choice.  Private entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Lewiston, NY will be held at the convenience of the family.
