Ronald 'Ron' J. Coty Sr., 88, of Lockport, NY, passed away on January 27, 2024 at Niagara Hospice House.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Paul and Josephine (Moses) Coty.

Ron was raised in Niagara Falls.  He served in the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge in 1957.  Ron was employed at General Abrasives in Niagara Falls, NY, in Production and Quality Control.  Ron played baseball in the service and played baseball, softball and bowling on various teams and leagues in Niagara Falls.  He enjoyed shooting pool and was an ardent fan of the NY Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys.

Ronald is survived by his children, Penny J. (Donald) Coty, Ronald J. (MaryAnne) Coty Jr. and Toni (David) Coty; grandchildren, Bruce Vaughn, Michael (Melissa) Coty, Vincent Coty, Anthony Coty and Giovanni Frascella; great grandchildren, Ethan, Sean and Luca; his siblings, Sharon, Carl, Paul, Georgette, Paulette and David, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his brother Boyd.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1 from 5 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304 where services will conclude with Military Honors at 7 PM.  Private interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY will be held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice Inc, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.   Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
