Ronald L. Kukucka, 88, of Sanborn, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Born in North Tonawanda, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Genevieve (Dziedzic) Kukucka.

Ron was a graduate of North Tonawanda High School and earned his Master's degree in Education from Buffalo State College. He met his beloved wife, Sylvia (Niedbalski) Kukucka, while they were serving in the United States Army in Landstuhl, Germany. Following their discharge, they returned to the United States and were married on April 18, 1959 in the former Holy Name of Jesus Church in Buffalo, NY.

Ron was employed as a Niagara County Deputy Sheriff for over 21 years. He then taught Industrial Arts at Niagara-Wheatfield High School for several years until his retirement.

Ron was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Leo's Church where he also served as an Usher. He enjoyed fishing, as well as woodworking and completing crossword puzzles. He also loved helping others and could repair just about anything. Above all, Ron centered his life around his family, who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his wife of 63 years, Mr. Kukucka is survived by his children, Denise (Steven) Williams, Susan (Jeffrey) Cipolla, Joseph (Gerri) Kukucka, Katherine (Bruce) Irwin and Kelly Kukucka (Paul Iseman). He is also the beloved grandfather of 12, loving great-grandfather of 3, and dear brother of the late Theresa (late William) English and Fr. Joseph Kukucka.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 14 from 2 – 6 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Monday at 9:30 AM, followed by Ronald's Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Vincent De Paul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Military honors and entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Tonawanda, NY.
