Ronald Muckley, 84, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on April 30, 2022 at home surrounded by his family.  Born in Warrington, Lancashire, England, he was the son of the late Harry and Mary (Douglas) Muckley.

Ron attended school in England and began working as a barber at age 14.  On March 18, 1959, he married Jean (Campbell) Muckley in Warrington, England.  In February of 1963, he came to the United States with his family.  Ron worked locally as a barber for 54 years, and was the owner and operator of Ron's Place for Hair on Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls where he worked alongside his wife and several generations of his family prior to his retirement in 2018.  A mentor to many, Ron taught many barbers the trade, and was a member of the Pine Avenue Business Association and received many honors for his success.  His life and legacy are his barber shop and his family.  His customers were like his extended family, and he cherished the time he spent with his own family above all else.  Ron also enjoyed gardening.  He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity that he showed to all he encountered.

In addition to his wife of 63 years, Ron is survived by his daughters, Donna (Mark) Roma and Rhonda (Chas) Shiah; his grandchildren Mark (Becky) Roma, Chelsea (Alex) Ramirez, Amanda Roma, Zachary Muckley, Samantha Shiah, Ashley Muckley, and C.J. Shiah; his great grandchildren, Brittany Roma, Markus Roma, Jason Harpam, Demani Barnes, Aviyon Barnes, Kieara Dubuc, Lorenzo Ramirez, Marina Ramirez, Ezra Messing, Elijah Messing, Antonio Jones and Adrianna Elia; a great-great grandchild, Tanner Printup; his sister, Ethel (late Edward) Shiah, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his son, Ronald Scott Muckley, and his siblings, Harry (late Florence) Muckley, Fred (late Jessie) Muckley, Hilda (late Allen) Claire, Mary (late Joseph) Illingworth, Eva Holmes, May (late Frank) Boyle, as well as by an infant brother.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 9 from 3 – 7 PM and Tuesday May 10 from 10 – 11 AM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM.  Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
