Ronald A. Pennesi, 78 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday October 20, 2014 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Peter and Mary (Veronie) Pennesi. On September 21, 1957 he married MaryAnn (Sanfilippo) at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mrs. Pennesi predeceased him on August 25, 2008.

Ronald was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls. He attended local schools graduating from Niagara Falls High School in 1954, and afterwards attended the University of Buffalo. Ron served 31 years in the Army National Guard. He was employed at Occidental Chemical Corporation for 34 years and retired in 1996 as a supervisor in the Durez Division in North Tonawanda, NY . Ron had a love for sport shooting and gun collecting. He was a member of the Niagara County Sportsman Club, National Rifle Association, Smithsonian Institute and National Geographic Society.

Mr. Pennesi is survived by his three children, Peter A. (Theresa) Pennesi of Memphis, TN; Nancy P. Pennesi of Niagara Falls, NY and Meribeth P. (Tim) Morton of Memphis, TN ; four grandchildren , Erica J. Pennesi, Hayley C. Pennesi, Faith L. Morton and Grace E. Morton, five sisters-in-law, Carol Pennesi, Charmayne Pollow, Antoinette Sanfilippo, Nancy (Louis) Scudieri and Rosalie Viapiano, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by one brother Anthony Pennesi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday October 24th at 10:00 a.m. St. Vincent DePaul Parish at St. Leo's Church 2748 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY Rev. Robert Hughson officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment with Military Honors will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY.
