Ronald Traina, 85, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at O.L.P Nursing Care Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late James L. and Rose Marie (Congi) Traina.

Ron attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. In 1954, he enlisted into the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1956.

Ron was employed in sales and construction in the area for many years prior to his retirement. He was an avid traveler and enjoyed traveling throughout South Africa, Scandinavia, Morocco, Britain, Italy, New Zealand, South America, Croatia, Russia, Poland and Germany. In his younger years he especially enjoyed playing pool, swimming and diving.

Mr. Traina is survived by his son, Jim Traina of Santa Barbara, CA; one brother, Charles Traina; as well as his nieces, numerous cousins and relatives. He is also survived by his beloved neighbors and his caretaker.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 10th from 10 – 12:30 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services with Military Honors will be celebrated at 12:30 P.M.
