Rosa 'Rose' Porto, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY, entered into eternal rest on July 15, 2025, at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY.  Born and raised in Belmonte Calabro, Province of Cosenza, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Domenica.

On April 28, 1951 she married Vincenzo 'Vincent' Porto and the two later moved to the United States, settling in Niagara Falls.  Mr. Porto predeceased her on February 15, 2021.  Rosa was a devoted homemaker and a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Joseph Church.  She was a member of the Cristoforo Colombo Women's Auxiliary, Madonna Del Soccorso, and Madonna Del Purgatorio.  She enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing, knitting and gardening.

Rosa is survived by her children, MaryAnn (Cesare) Forgione and Anthony (Elaine) Porto; grandchildren, Eileen (David) Pacana, Marcy (Chris) Falzone, Michael Porto, Nicolette (Jacob Joseph) Porto and Gabrielle Porto; great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Evan and Meghan Pacana, Eliana Falzone, and Jacob Joseph, Jr., nephew, John Porto, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins throughout Canada, Italy and Argentina. In addition to her husband of 69 years, she was predeceased by her son, Mercurio 'Mickey' (Kathy) Porto, and her siblings, Pietro (late Rosina) and Natale (late Norina) Porto.

Mrs. Porto's family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to her wonderful aides, nurses, and the activities department for their unwavering compassion and care.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304. Rosa's Mass of Christian Burial will held on Friday, July 18 at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.  Entombment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
