Rosalie J. (Napoleon) Spuller, 86, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday February 27, 2010 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Dominic A. and Carrie A. (D'Anna) Napoleon.
Rosalie, a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY, graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1940 and later from Broughton Business School in Niagara Falls. On November 26, 1946 she married Earl E. Spuller at St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls. Mr. Spuller predeceased her on October 18, 1988. In her younger years, Rosalie worked as a legal secretary, and later co-managed her family-owned Stratford Apartments in Niagara Falls, NY. Rosalie was a volunteer at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and their Catholic Mass for over thirty years. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband Earl, crossword puzzles and gardening. Rosalie took great pleasure in hosting her family for Sunday dinner, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Spuller is survived by four children, James E. (Kathleen) Spuller, Robert D. (Linda) Spuller both of Niagara Falls, NY; Gary P. (Jacqueline) Spuller of Holly Springs, NC and Carol (Gary) Stephens of Ransomville, NY; ten grandchildren Andrew Spuller, Kerri Spuller, Christina Spuller (James Abbondanza), Laura Rosalie Spuller, late Jason Quarcini, Richard (Ali) Spuller, Daniel Spuller, Sara Spuller (Blake Johnson), Joel Stephens and Lauren Stephens, four great-grandchildren, Ronan Abbondanza, Gideon Abbondanza, Oren Abbondanza and Lily Spuller and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by one brother Vincent (Lucy of Youngstown, NY) Napoleon.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday March 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 259 Fourth Street, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Michael Burzynski, Ph.D. officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
