Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother
Rose Marie A. (DePaul) Longhine, 84, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Rossi) DePaul.
Rose Marie moved to Canada at a young age with her family, where she was raised and educated. From the late 1940's until the early 1950's Rose Marie was employed at the Nabisco Company. in Niagara Falls, Ontario. On June 21, 1952 she married Robert G. Longhine at St. Anne's Church in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Following her marriage she returned to Niagara Falls, NY where she has lived until the present time. Mr. Longhine predeceased her on January 28, 2010. Rose Marie was a member of the John Duke Senior Center, the I.S.D.A. (Italian Sons and Daughters of America) Power City Lodge, Fatima Shrine 13th of the Month Club and the Sacred Heart Seniors. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending the winters in Florida, and going to the Casino. But most of all Rose Marie cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Longhine is survived by her daughter, Diane (John 'Fred') Lever of Niagara Falls, NY; three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Jessica) Lever, David (Kari) Lever and Rosemarie (Eric) Dixon; three great-grandchildren Natalie, Daniel and Kaelyn, her twin sister Rosalie (late Hugo) Visentin of Niagara Falls, Ontario and several nieces and cousins. She was also predeceased by her sister Angeline LaMantia.
Visitation will be on Tuesday December 23rd from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday December 24th at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 27th Street and Independence Ave. Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane Klizek officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Flowers are graciously declined. Memorial offerings may be made to the National Parkinson Disease Foundation, of Western, New York 300 International Drive Suite 224 Williamsville, NY 14221.
