Rose M. (White) Benvenuti, 87, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014 at her residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Costanzo) White.

Rose was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. On October 4, 1947 she married Vincent G. "Jim" Benvenuti at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Benvenuti predeceased her on May 29, 2006. Rose was employed by the Niagara Falls Board of Education and worked in the Food Service Department at various schools in the city. She was a longtime devoted member of the Church on the Rock in Niagara Falls. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts as well as crocheting blankets. She also liked to collect figurines, particularly lighthouse statues. But most of all she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rose is survived by four children Pat (Diane) Benvenuti of Henderson, NV; Larry Benvenuti, Rachel (Rev. Joseph) Denitto, Sr. both of Niagara Falls, NY; Marianne Benvenuti of the Town of Niagara; six grandchildren Janelle (James) Dougherty, Joseph (Toni) Denitto Jr., Michelle (Eugene) Houston, Sonny (Janelle) Denitto, James (Amy) Benvenuti and Diana (Mark) Tamburrino; twelve great grandchildren Giuliana, Tino, Tyler, Rocco, Justin, Trevor, Collin, Tanner, Connor P., Aiden, Blake and Emma; two sisters Jennie (late Hatchet) Stepanian of Henderson, NV and Marion (late Harold) Jennings of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister-in-law of Dina (late Tom) Freidhof, Rita (late Joseph) Sarro all of Niagara Falls, NY; Norma (late Bill) Haluska of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada and Linda (David) Pavicich of the Town of Niagara. She was also predeceased by her stepmother-in-law Anna Benvenuti, one brother Michael (late Phyllis) White and her sister-in-law Mary Benvenuti.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 28th at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Denitto, Sr. officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers are gratefully declined.
