Obituary
Rose M. Cicero, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on August 11, 2013 at Northgate Healthcare Facility in Wheatfield, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Jack & Santa (Abate) Civiletto.
Rose attended Niagara Falls High School. In her early years, she worked at the Ambassador Leather Goods and later at John's Flaming Hearth well into her late 70's. Fifteen years ago, she met her soul mate, Carmen Mastro, at the Duke Center in Niagara Falls, NY. They could be seen daily in Wegman's, Tops or Tim Horton's having their lunch. When they missed a day, people would always ask for them. Rose will be greatly missed by her family, who will always remember and cherish their Sunday meals together. The family will forever be in search of those awesome meatballs. She will also be greatly missed by her close friends, Sharon G., Linda, Ruby, Bev and Lisa who enjoyed her cooking, dancing and laughter.
Rose is survived by her three children, Ron (Margaret) Cicero of Greece, NY, Sharon Ankelein of Fort Walton, FL and Michael (Jeanne Geartz) of Niagara Falls, NY; her grandchildren, Ron (Kathy) Cicero, Patrick (Sheri) Cicero, Anthony (Amanda) Pulli , Alicia (Steve) Lewis and Chris Storms; her seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving companion, Carmen Mastro of Niagara Falls, NY as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Rose was predeceased by her three siblings, Charles Civiletto, Jack Civiletto and Lena Sperduto.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 13th from 5 – 9 P.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday August 14th at 10:00 A.M. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary & Joseph in St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, O.S.F.S officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Road Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
