Rose E. (Galbo) Fontana, 99 of Niagara Falls, NY went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family and friends on Friday September 26, 2014 while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Peter and Josephine (Ebole) Galbo.

Rose was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. On September 24, 1949, she married Louis C. Fontana at the former Our Lady of Lebanon Church in Niagara Falls. Mr. Fontana predeceased her on July 19, 1975. For thirty years, Rose worked as a licensed real estate broker in the Niagara Falls area. She was also involved in the local Democratic Committee as a Committee Woman from the mid 1960's until mid the 1980's. Rose also volunteered as a Foster Grandmother with HANCI (Health Association of Niagara County, Inc.) from the mid 1990's until 2005.

Rose is survived by her three children, Eve (Anthony) Corulli of Niagara Falls, NY, Ricci J. (Raquel) Fontana of Davie, FL and Louis E. Fontana (Nancy Shiah) of Niagara Falls, NY, two grandchildren, James (Sherry) Corulli, Ricci L. Fontana (fiancé Laura Diazjane), two great-grandchildren, Ricci and Ericc, three sisters, Josephine (late Eugene) Fontana, Christine (late William) Christie and Lucy (late Anthony) Cosentino, one brother Thomas (late Rose) Galbo, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by one grandson, Vincent M. Fontana, two brothers and three sisters, Frank (late Mary) Galbo, Sam (Marie) Galbo, Connie (late Anthony) Russo, Mary (late Theodore) Kuczwanski and Frances (late George) Frazier.

There will be no prior visitation. Private funeral services and burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY will be held at the convenience of the family.
