Rose Maselli, 97 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Friday March 25, 2016 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (DeSantis) Paonessa.

Rose was raised and educated in Niagara Falls and attended the former Trott Vocational High School. On June 3, 1939, she married Julio E. Maselli at St. Joseph's Church. Mr. Maselli predeceased her on December 23, 1999. For several years she worked as an office clerk for various local physician offices, as well as the former Chysolm Ryder Company and Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. In 1966, Rose and her husband relocated to Phoenix, AZ where she worked as a school cafeteria manager. They returned back to the Niagara Falls area in 1984. Rose was a longtime active parishioner or Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and member of their Altar and Rosary Society, Prayer Group and Madonna Del Carmine Society. She was also a member of the Ladies Cristoforo Colombo Society, a volunteer at the John Duke Center, member of the Red Hat Society and was the recipient of the Top's Market Good Neighbor Award. Above all, Rose loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Rose is survived by her two daughters, Mary Ann (Gerald) Vitagliano of Niagara Falls and Margaret (Thomas) Conibear of Las Vegas, 7 grandchildren, Elizabeth (Louie) Zaninovich, Karen (Steve) Fuller, Patricia (Chris) McCune, Julianne (John) Galie, Paul (Carol) Conibear, Marie Conibear and Kristen (Glenn) Lowrimore, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by two sister s, Catherine Adoulf and Gloria Tonetti.

Rose's children would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to her four special granddaughters, Elizabeth, Karen, Patricia and Julianne, the nurses and staff of Schoellkopf Health Care Facility 2nd floor and Niagara Hospice for their dedicated and compassionate care.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Ave. Niagara Falls, NY. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial offerings may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Restoration Fund or Niagara Hospice.
