Rose A. Mussari, 92, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY died on Sunday April 4, 2010 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Angelo A. and Maria Costantina 'Tina' (Paonessa) Mussari.

Rose was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools. She was employed in at the Carborundum Company in Niagara Falls, NY for thirty five years. Rose was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Church where she was active with many church organizations. For several years she was also active with the Republican Party in Niagara Falls. In her spare time, Rose enjoyed cooking and shopping but her greatest pleasure was being with her family.

Rose is survived by her son Joseph V. Sbarbati, Jr. of Niagara Falls, NY; one brother Joseph Mussari of Niagara Falls, NY; four sisters Phyllis Mussari; Theresa (Chester) Biamonte Krawczyk, Angelina "Angie" (late Robert) Kujawa, all of Niagara Falls, NY and Jean (Burton) Rosenberg of Lewiston, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Louis Mussari and two sisters, Mary Mussari and Anita S. Mussari.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 2 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday April 9th at 10 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, OSFS officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers are gratefully declined.
