Loving Wife, Mother, Daughter and Sister

Rosemary (Marasco) Giovannucci, 48, of Wilson, NY went home to be with the Lord after a short but courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday March 23, 2010 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of Richard F. Marasco of Niagara Falls, NY and the late Irene F. (Baldassarre) Marasco.

Rosemary was a resident of Niagara Falls throughout her lifetime until moving to Wilson, NY three and a half years ago. She attended local schools including Kelley Business Institute of Niagara Falls, NY. Rosemary was employed as a computertech- detailer at Firth Jewelers in the Town of Niagara. She was a member of the Cristoforo Colombo Society Women's Auxiliary in Niagara Falls, NY. Her favorite pastimes included gardening, sewing, cooking, shopping and golf, which she just recently started to play. But above all, Rosemary's greatest pleasure was spending time with her family.

In addition to her father, Rosemary is survived by her husband Albert Giovannucci, two children Sarah Elizabeth Ginter of Niagara Falls, NY and Scott Joseph Ginter of Ohio; three step children Lisa (Tony) Strangio of Wheatfield, NY; Vince Giovannucci of Niagara Falls, NY and Albert Giovannucci of Lockport, NY; one brother Robert J. (Sandra) Marasco of the Town of Niagara; her maternal grandmother Rose Baldassarre of Niagara Falls, NY; her aunt Gloria (Carl) Albion of Youngstown, NY; one nephew Adam Marasco of the Town of Niagara, NY; her mother-in-law Rose Giovannucci of Niagara Falls, NY; several nieces, nephews, cousins and her extended family at Firth's Jewelers, which she loved. She was predeceased by one brother Richard F. Marasco, Jr.

Visitation will begin on Friday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where services will be held on Saturday March 27th at 11:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, O.S.F.S., Rev. Duane Klizek and Rev. Ivan Skenderovic officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
