Roslyn "Roz" A. Cancemi, 76, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 in Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Rose (Ruggirello) Murgia.

Roz attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She was employed as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Raimondi and Dr. DiLaura for many years until her retirement.

Roslyn was a devout Catholic and enjoyed assisting with the St. Joseph's Table, bereavement breakfasts and Bingo events at Mt. Carmel Church. She was a longtime member and former president of the Madonna Del Perpetuo Soccorso Society and the Cristoforo Columbo Society. Roslyn was also an avid bowler and bowled in several local leagues.

Roslyn was a blessing to many and enjoyed assisting the elderly. She also loved spending time with her family and friends, and always enjoyed a "night out" with them at the casino. Roslyn was the matriarch of the Murgia family and was instrumental in carrying on her family's traditions and recipes. She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Cancemi is survived by her son, Vincent Cancemi; her grandson, Carter Cancemi; four siblings, Joseph (Shirley) Murgia, Gaetan (Robert) Jones, Edward (Nancy) Murgia and Louis (Julia) Murgia; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Russell (Barbara) Murgia and Thomas Murgia.

Visitation will be on Sunday, December 19 from 1-5 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Monday at 12:15 PM, followed by Roslyn's Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM in Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY.
